Hello Deer Canyon Families,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We are so excited to get back to educating kids and building our Deer Canyon community. As the proud Principal of Deer Canyon Elementary, I am thrilled to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to all of our new and returning eagle families. I hope this letter finds you rejuvenated and in high spirits as we embark on the 24-25 academic year. 

Our theme this year is, Let’s Lift Each Other Up and SOAR to New Heights. This year at Deer Canyon we are going to work together to reach new heights in our academics and social-emotional learning.  My continued vision for Deer Canyon is that all of our students are supported and inspired to achieve both academically and socially. At Deer Canyon, we work to foster a positive school culture where all of our students feel safe and can learn and achieve at the highest level. It is a partnership, and our parents/guardians are integral in continuing to ensure that Deer Canyon continues to be the best elementary school. As your Principal, it is important to me that every person who steps through our doors feels welcome and excited to be here. This attitude will enable us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. 

Let’s embark on this new school year with optimism and positivity. Together, we can create an environment where our students succeed academically and grow into confident and successful humans ready to take on all of life’s challenges.
