BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served from 7:45 am to 8:15 am
LUNCH
Lunch break includes 20-25 minutes for eating and 15-20 minutes for playing, for a combined 40 minutes of outdoor socialization.
If you pack a lunch for your child, or he/she forgets his/her lunch, you may drop it off at the main office but may not take it to his/her classroom as that would be a disruption of instruction. The office staff will not be responsible for any lunches not picked up.
Please do not bring/drop off any fast food (McDonalds, Jack in the Box, KFC, Carls Jr, In and Out, etc) to your children for a "special lunch." If you drop it off, students may pick it up from the office after school.
If you will be bringing your child’s lunch, please make sure you tell him/her to stop by the office to pick it up during his/her lunchtime. We cannot call and interrupt the class in regards to lunch pick up and you may not “visit” the classroom to drop off lunch.
NUTRITION
Your child may bring a small healthy snack; such as cheese, fruit, yogurt, vegetables, raisins, pretzels, or crackers.
Do not send cake, doughnuts, soda, chips (spicy or regular), or fast food.
CANDY or GUM is NOT allowed in school; before, during, or after.
All candies, gum, chips, etc. will be collected and discarded if brought to school.
On special occasions (Halloween and/or Valentine’s) candy may be brought for exchange but not to be consumed the day of or the day after.
Please do not send snacks for your child to share with their classmates. That is not permissible and we must be very cautious of allergies that we may not be aware of.
RECESS
Students may bring healthy snacks to eat during recess. There are regular benches and blue benches set up in the play area for snacking.
